I was asked on Tuesday morning by one of our Year 6 students what I missed the most when I was away from the Preparatory School last week. My answer surprised me. “It was the love,” popped out. She and her friends nodded and one replied “that’s what we thought you would say.” How could they possibly see that, when I didn’t have a clue why I said it? Then I looked around. Students, parents, teachers and everyone else smiling, greeting each other after a long weekend, showing the joy of community and ‘tribe'. The love of tribe and togetherness is such a strong feeling that I was surprised I hadn’t seen it with such clarity before. Leave it to 12 year olds to see the truth before our adult eyes/heart can see it. And then later, I was checking email and up pops the message below from friends at angelandmarc.com
. It is a long read, but for those looking for inspiration and meaning it was certainly timely today.
