Senior Primary – Year 3 to 6

The learning journey in the Senior Primary years develops the inquiry learning skills that are nurtured in the junior years. We empower and support our learners through the co-construction of knowledge, the development of critical and creative thinking skills, cultural understanding and personal and social capability.

We are guided by, but not limited to, the Western Australian curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Technologies, Health and Physical Education, Language (Chinese) and The Arts including Music and Visual Art to deliver a future-focused, varied and engaging curriculum.

We place value on the Six C’s of Deep Learning – Character, Citizenship, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity and Critical Thinking. Together with real world and authentic contexts for learning, these learner assets take the curriculum beyond simply knowing content, to deeper levels of understanding and engagement that enable students to make connections with the world around us.

Our approach to learning places students as independent inquirers within a stimulating environment. Each learner is motivated at their own level to spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

Beyond the classroom

Students have agency in their own learning in a purpose-built Preparatory School and stimulating environment that facilitates our adaptive approaches to teaching and meaningful learning experiences.

Our School is situated within unrivalled surroundings close to the Swan River, as well as wetland and bushland areas. Connection to land and country and time spent in nature is highly valued within the learning journey. All classes spend time in the outdoor environment exploring our campus and embracing the unique and rich learning opportunities provided within this inspirational setting. In Year 2-4, students experience our Bush School program which connects nature, curriculum, inquiry, play and relationships.
