World’s Greatest Shave

Raising Funds for Leukaemia Foundation

Students and staff across the School came together this week to support the Leukaemia Foundation raising over $32,000 through the World’s Greatest Shave to help Australians living with blood cancer.

Student Leadership in Action

Led by the Senior School Prefects, the event brought the campus to life. The shade of the Jacaranda tree offered little relief from the heat as students lined up for big chops and full head shaves. Several girls donated their hair and many boys shaved their heads in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Mr Underwood joined the effort, taking a turn in the chair alongside the students. Even Mr Allen joined in, taking to the clippers to shave a student’s hair drawing cheers from the crowd.

Prep School Joins the Fun

In Priestley Hall, students in the Prep School arrived with their most imaginative hairstyles — spaghetti strands, glitter, spikes and plaits in every direction. Laughter echoed through the hall as classmates proudly showed off their creations. Among them were three young students who chose to shave their heads, drawing admiration for their courage.

Making a Real Impact

The World’s Greatest Shave was more than a colourful event. It was a powerful reminder of the values that shape our School — compassion, service and integrity. Every cut, every style and every donation helped support research and care for families facing blood cancer.

Thank you to everyone who took part, donated or cheered from the sidelines. Your actions have made a meaningful difference.
