Early Learning (K-2)
Guildford Grammar School’s Early Learning (K-2) program fosters curiosity, confidence and a love of learning, laying a strong foundation for each child’s educational journey.
Through a balanced approach that blends intentional teaching with creative exploration, students are encouraged to ask questions, make discoveries and connect meaningfully with the world around them.

Inquiry Learning and Play
Our inquiry learning approach places curiosity at the forefront, inviting children to investigate ideas, solve problems and think critically. With play-based and discovery-focused environments indoors and out, students engage in hands-on experiences that inspire independence, resilience and joy in learning.

Literacy, Numeracy and Creative Expression
In K-2, literacy and numeracy are introduced through engaging activities like phonics, storytelling and games that build foundational skills in an enjoyable way. Specialist programs in music, art, dance and drama, and physical education encourage creative expression and physical development, helping children grow in confidence and discover their talents. French enriches language skills and cultural awareness, while STEAM sparks curiosity and critical thinking.

Bush School: Connecting with Nature
A unique part of Guildford Grammar’s Early Learning, the Bush School program immerses children in nature, fostering environmental awareness, practical problem-solving and creativity. These outdoor adventures build resilience, curiosity and a lasting appreciation for the natural world.
A Caring Community
In a nurturing environment guided by compassionate teachers, Guildford Grammar’s youngest students learn empathy, confidence and resilience. Our Early Learning community ensures every child feels valued and supported as they grow, preparing them to thrive in school and beyond.
