Master Plan Projects
School and Freeth House
The relocation of School House and Freeth House to the Hamilton Building marked an important milestone in the Guildford Grammar School Master Plan. This redevelopment recognised the significance of our heritage while transforming the space to meet the needs of today and into the future.
In redeveloping this building, we took the same care we always have to respect the character of our historic campus and preserve its distinctive visual harmony, while ensuring our facilities continue to serve generations of students.
The new House spaces have been thoughtfully designed to be fit for purpose, with line of sight that prioritises child safety, and bright, open and airy areas that encourage connection between students and staff. They provide a welcoming and supportive environment that brings students closer to academic and wellbeing services, while also supporting meaningful daily interactions.
The official opening in May 2025 was a proud occasion, with a special blessing by Father Thomas and a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by our House Captains.
