Boarding
Equestrian Access Service
For many of our boarding families, horses are part of everyday life.
Riding develops discipline, responsibility and resilience, and we recognise the commitment that comes with pursuing the sport seriously. Guildford Grammar supports equestrian boarders through our staff-run Equestrian Access Service. On selected afternoons, boarding staff transport students to and from approved off-campus agistment centres, enabling them to ride, train and care for their horses while living and studying in Perth.
This support allows students to continue developing their skills, maintain their partnership with their horses and stay connected to a pursuit that is central to their identity. It also means families do not need to travel to Perth each week to manage training commitments.
Boarding life works alongside each student’s pathway, making it possible for them to continue pursuing what matters most to them.
The Equestrian Access Service reflects our commitment to personalised pathways. Every student arrives with their own interests and ambitions, and we create structures that allow those passions to keep growing.
School Sport Program
Equestrian is also offered as part of our School Sport program, providing opportunities for students at every stage of their riding journey. For students who do not have their own horse or who are new to riding, our beginner program runs in partnership with Zia Park Equestrian Centre. Students learn foundational riding and horsemanship skills while working through the Pony Club Australia syllabus, gaining confidence both in the saddle and in caring for horses.
For experienced riders with their own or leased horses, our Interschool Equestrian program provides a pathway into competition, with specialist coaching and opportunities to compete at state and national level.
