The Guildford Grammar gymnasium was abuzz with energy as students explored future pathways at the 2025 Careers Expo. With more than 70 exhibitors in attendance, the event offered a vibrant showcase of education, training and industry opportunities.

A Rich Tapestry of Pathways

Exhibitors included all major Western Australian universities and TAFEs, as well as a wide range of Registered Training Organisations and apprenticeship support networks. Students connected with professionals across aviation, mining, financial services, health science, law enforcement, construction, tourism, agriculture, the arts and more.

More than information, there were networks and connections being built. Students gained firsthand insights into industries including finance, public transport, defence, engineering innovation and ecological restoration. Conversations flowed freely as students explored what might lie ahead.

Looking Ahead to the Future of Work

Many exhibitors represented emerging and future-focused sectors, including clean energy, ecological innovation, agribusiness, aviation and automation. These fields are reshaping the world of work, and students were encouraged to think beyond traditional career pathways and explore the new possibilities being created.

This future-focused lens aligned with Guildford Grammar’s commitment to preparing students to thrive in an evolving world, where adaptability and creativity will be key.

Learning Through Community

Many of our guests were Old Guildfordians, current parents or past parents, offering a personal perspective on career development. Their presence helped bridge the gap between school life and the world beyond, reminding students that every career journey begins with curiosity.

“There was a buzz about the room, with lots of interaction between our students and the exhibitors,” said Community Relations Manager, Michaela Curran. “It was fantastic to see students asking thoughtful questions and engaging in meaningful conversations about their future.”
