Building Excellence:

Welcoming New Staff

Guildford Grammar School’s commitment to lifelong learning was on full display as staff came together for an engaging and collaborative induction week, setting the tone for an exciting 2025 academic year.

The week began with a warm welcome to new team members, including educators, boarding and support staff, administrators, and medical personnel. Over two focused days, they were immersed in Guildford Grammar’s unique culture, its 78-hectare campus, and the School’s enduring values of excellence, respect, integrity, spirituality, and compassion.

“It was inspiring to see new staff embrace our traditions and progressive approach,” said Peter Allen, Principal. “They’ve joined a community that values both professional growth and the pursuit of excellence.”

Professional development was a key focus throughout the program. New staff were introduced to essential programs, safety protocols, and student wellbeing initiatives that underpin life at Guildford Grammar. Guided sessions ensured that all staff were equipped to contribute meaningfully to the School’s mission of fostering personal excellence.

The week wasn’t just about learning – it was about connection. A Chapel Service formally welcomed new staff, while shared meals and team-building activities strengthened the sense of belonging among colleagues. As the week unfolded, the entire staff united to reflect, plan, and prepare for the year ahead.

Guildford Grammar School’s commitment to fostering excellence extends beyond its students. By prioritising the growth and wellbeing of staff, the School continues to build a vibrant community where everyone – staff and students alike – can thrive and innovate.

As 2025 unfolds, Guildford Grammar’s staff are ready to inspire, lead, and support the next generation of independent thinkers and innovators.
