Our Purpose

To provide a home away from home, giving boarders the opportunity of a first-class education while building strong relationships and learning lifelong values

Life in Boarding

We aim to make boarding as much like home as possible. Our community is built on care, respect and shared purpose. Boarders find friendship through study, sport and recreation, and learn to be independent, resilient and considerate of others.

We encourage students to approach boarding positively and to make the most of the opportunities it provides. It is a unique experience, one that helps young people grow in confidence and character while developing the skills to live and work with others.

Living in Community

While we nurture each child’s individual talents and interests, life in a shared environment calls for balance. Personal freedoms sometimes need to be adjusted to ensure the rights and wellbeing of every member of the community.

By learning to balance independence with responsibility, boarders develop empathy, cooperation and respect, qualities that will serve them throughout life.

About this Handbook

This Handbook provides information to help families understand the care we provide and the opportunities available to boarders. It also outlines the philosophies, practices and principles that underpin our community.

As comprehensive as it is, the Handbook is not intended to replace good judgement. We encourage students to act with courtesy, cooperation, respect and responsibility. When decisions are guided by these principles, their experience of boarding will be positive and enriching for everyone.
