Preparatory School Prize Giving
The Preparatory School Prize Giving Night will be held on Thursday, 5 December, from 6.00 to 7.15pm on the Chapel Close, in the Senior School. This Prize Giving Night is compulsory for all students from Year 1 to Year 6. Parents, grandparents and family friends are invited to attend this celebration and acknowledgement of the year for all students. Little Explorers, Kindergarten and Pre Primary students are welcome to attend and sit with their parents.
There will not be any notification prior to this evening to any award recipients, nor their families, if they are receiving a prize at this year’s Prize Giving.
All Year 1 to 6 students, are asked to please meet their class teachers on the lawn area between the Thwaites Building and the Chapel Close, where Prize Giving will be held. A map will be emailed to families early next week. Students should arrive at their designated class area between 5.30 and 5.45pm.
Once parents have dropped off their children in this area, they may take their seats at the Prize Giving.
- Year 1 students should be dressed in their normal summer uniform.
- Year 2 and 3 students should be dressed in their formal summer uniform (no blazer required, no sandals).
- Year 4 to 6 students should be dressed in their formal summer uniform including blazer (no sandals).
Prize Giving commences at 6.00pm so please arrive promptly. At the conclusion of the Prize Giving, all students will be guided to the same area they were dropped off to be collected by their parents.

- The grass hockey field near the main entrance to the School – parking attendants will be on duty
- The grass area next to the Padgett Basketball Courts on Terrace Road
- The DLD car park
- If required, parking is also available at the Preparatory School car park
Senior School Prize Giving - Friday 6 December
The annual Senior School Prize Giving Night will be held on Friday 6 December at 7.00pm. This is a compulsory event for all students.
Prior to the Prize Giving ceremony all Senior School students are required to sign-in once they arrive at School. Students must sign-in at their House between 6.30pm-6.45pm. Once signed in, students will move to the Chapel Close where they will sit in their allocated House area. Please ensure your child is at school in plenty of time to sign-in. On Friday evening Prize Winners should proceed directly to Senior Administration to sign-in.
Students receiving a prize will attend a rehearsal on the afternoon of Friday 6 December at 1.45pm. PRIZE WINNERS must sign in at Senior Administration before being seated in a specific section of the audience, not with their House.
All students must wear their winter uniform with their House tie and be appropriately attired and presented.
Parking is available at:
- The grass hockey field near the main entrance to the School
- DLD car park
- The grass area next to the Padget Basketball Courts on Terrace Road
- If required parking will also be available at the Preparatory School car park.
Seating will be available for parents within your child's House area. Staff will be on hand to assist you with seating.
All parents are invited to stay for a light supper on the front lawn at the conclusion of the Ceremony.
The Prize Giving Ceremony starts at 7.00pm and concludes at approximately 8.45pm.
Students with Approved Absences or who have been granted Approved Leave are exempt from compulsory attendance.
In the event of adverse weather or any last minute changes, parents will be contacted via email and SMS on the day.
