BROADWAY ON SWAN FAMILY CONCERT

We are proud to present the Broadway on Swan Family Concert, featuring the Guildford Grammar Symphony Orchestra! This event will be held on Thursday 11 April at the GGS Boat Shed, with the Swan River as our stunning backdrop. The concert is open to all members of the community.

With the support of FOPS, FOSS and the Old Guildfordians we have arranged pre-show activities and entertainment so that families can come along straight after school, set up their chairs or blanket, and settle in for a night of Broadway themed music!

FOPS will provide children's activities on Roberts Oval from 3.20pm, including a bouncy castle and face painting.

Our amazing GGS Catering Team will once again set up their street food stalls from 5.00pm, with three varieties of street food available for purchase. We sold out last time as the food was delicious! If you would prefer to bring along your own picnic dinner, you are more than welcome to! Due to popular demand we will also be selling our own GGS ice creams, as well as coffee, tea and soft drinks (EFTPOS and cash available).

At 5.00pm the music starts, with a roaming Mariachi Band featuring Old Guildfordian Jimmy Murphy. Dressed in costume, the band will roam through the crowd entertaining us with their upbeat and entertaining performance!

The main event starts at 6.00pm on the stage, featuring the Guildford Grammar Symphony Orchestra and Senior School music students performing a range of Broadway inspired numbers. The playlist for the night includes:

  • I Dreamed a Dream from les Miserables
  • Grease Mega Mix
  • Little Shop of Horrors
  • The Candy Man (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)
  • I Still Call Australia Home (The Man from Oz)
  • The Greatest Show (The Greatest Showman)
  • All That Jazz (Chicago)
  • You Can't Stop the Beat (Hairspray)
  • Arabian Nights (Aladdin)
  • Andrew Lloyd Webber Symphonic Spectacular
  • Defying Gravity (Wicked)

This event is open to all members of the community and promises to be an amazing family night of fun, food and music.  Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10 and can be purchased online at www.ggs.wa.edu.au/broadwayonswan.
