Lions Youth of the Year

Congratulations to Luke Osborne (12Be) who was presented with the Lions Youth of the Year Awards this morning by Mr Colin Heap and Mr Brian Williams.

 


Academic Honour Society


Last week we celebrated the induction of eight Year 12 students into the Senior Academic Honour Society at a formal dinner, joined by our guest speaker Mr Chandler Comerford, a former US Navy SEAL who now works as a leadership consultant and trainer. The Senior Academic Honour Society celebrates Year 12 students who have scored a minimum of ten A achievement grades from Year 11 in Semester 1 and 2, and Year 12 in Semester 1.  Congratulations to the following students:

Vacation Care Program for October Holidays
 

Bookings are now open for the October Vacation Care Program and as always we have put together a program that offers something for everyone!  Our program is separated into Junior (Pre-Kindy to Year 2) and Senior (Years 3-6) to allow us to offer a range of age-appropriate activities.

Our Junior Program for October includes:

  • My First Vacation Care Program for those who are new to vacation care
  • art program
  • excursion to the movies
  • Cooking Club
  • daily art activities
  • build a maze
  • drama session with costumes and make-up
  • make a weather station
  • make and race box cars
  • make an outdoor restaurant and serve lunch
  • visit by Freya the horse
  • excursion to the City
  • playground pirates complete with the plank!
  • film making
  • music making
  • and much, much more!

The Senior Program for October includes:
  • an excursion to the movies
  • daily art activities
  • Cooking Club
  • build a cubby house
  • build an obstacle course
  • make a mosaic mural
  • ice-skating excursion
  • set up an outdoor restaurant and serve lunch
  • car races
  • camping and merit badges
  • Visit by Freya the horse
  • excursion to the City
  • art meets chemistry session
  • working with wood
  • make a podcast or video
  • and much, much more!

The program costs $62 per child per day for fixed bookings and $67 per child per day for casual bookings, less the child care subsidy (if eligible).  An additional fee of $23 is added for outings and excursions.
