Out of School Care

Welcome to the Guildford Grammar School Out of School Care Centre. Our aim is to provide a safe and happy environment for any child attending the Centre. The Centre provides care for Guildford Grammar School children from Kindy to Year 6, outside of school hours on weekdays. In certain circumstances the Centre can also cater for Senior School students; please talk to the Centre Coordinator if you require this service.
 

Our Centre’s Philosophy

The Guildford Grammar School Out of School Care Centre is a child focused Centre where:

  • Children, families and staff are treated as equal and valued individuals
  • The importance of play in early and middle childhood is recognised
  • New crafts and sports are discovered and children have opportunities for challenge within their capabilities
  • Children are encouraged to develop to their full potential within a safe, caring and supportive environment
  • Children’s cultural diversity will be respected and included in the program
  • Programs are planned incorporating children, parent and staff input
  • Programs can be flexible according to interests and/or circumstances
     

Enrolment
An enrolment form must be completed before a child can attend. This form must be renewed at the beginning of the new school year. To ensure all information on our records is correct and current, please inform the Centre of any changes during the year as soon as possible.
 

Bookings
Children MUST be booked in on attendance days for their own safety and to enable the Centre to work within the correct staff/child ratios as per the Community Services (Outside School Hours Care) Regulations 2006.  Bookings can be made direct to the Centre by phone 9377 9290 or email melanie.berrington@ggs.wa.edu.au.
 

Bookings must be cancelled 24 hours prior to the date for After School Care and with 2 working days notice for Vacation Care. Failing to do so will result in the full fee being charged for that day.

After School Care  3.00pm – 6.00pm
Student Free Days 7.00am – 6.00pm
Early Closures  12.00pm – 6.00pm
Vacation Care  7.00am – 6.00pm
 

Current Fees
Before School Care  - $12.00 (includes full breakfast) 
After School Care -  $19.00 (includes afternoon snack)
Early Closure  - $25.50 (includes afternoon snack)
Student Free Day - $44.25 (includes morning and afternoon snack)
Vacation Care - $44.25 (includes morning and afternoon snack)
Incursion and Excursions - $13.50 (additional)

Parent Participation
The Centre encourages parent participation in the operation of the service. Feedback on the program delivery is highly valued and is taken into account when planning and evaluating the program.
 

Please let us know if you are not satisfied with any aspect of the services we provide. You may wish to discuss your complaint or concern with the Coordinator. If you feel the problem is not resolved, you may take the matter to the Head of the Preparatory School.
