Guildford Grammar School offers the following scholarships for entry in Year 7:

The D'Arcy Slater Scholarship
The D'Arcy Slater Scholarship is awarded annually to a student entering Year 7 and is in memory of D'Arcy who died in tragic circumstances in 1991. The successful applicant will have demonstrated the potential to make a strong all-round contribution to the School and possess early indications of leadership potential. The student should also have represented his Primary School or Club in a sporting capacity and preference is given to candidates who come from a worthy family which, for financial reasons, might not normally consider the enrolment of a son at the School. The Scholarship provides for the full remission of tuition fees and is tenable for six years, assuming satisfactory progress is made. A Portfolio is required showing certificates, awards, press clippings, personal references and any other relevant material highlighting your son's particular ability. The Portfolio will be returned to you once the Scholarship has been awarded.

The Council Scholarship
Each year the School Council awards a number of scholarships, which provide for the remission of half the annual School tuition fee.  The scholarships are open to any boy who is currently enrolled in Year 6 of a Primary School course.  The Council Scholarships are awarded for six years in the first instance, assuming satisfactory academic progress.

Harry Campbell Pope Scholarship
A number of scholarships are awarded to boys who are good scholars and whose all-round ability gives them the potential to make a major contribution to the life of the School. They are awarded for entry into Year 7 and are tenable for up to six years, providing that satisfactory progress is made.

Calder Crowther Scholarship

Candidates must be of good character, show evidence of the potential to fulfil the academic requirements of the School and also demonstrate an interest in other co-curricular activities in addition to music. The value of the Scholarship includes remission of music tuition fees and remission of up to half the annual School tuition fee. It is awarded for six years assuming satisfactory progress is made. Selected applicants will be invited for an instrumental audition, followed by an interview with the Headmaster.

Music Instrumental Scholarship
Three Music Instrumental Scholarships are available for boys who are talented string, brass or woodwind instrumentalists of AMEB Grade 3 level or above. At least two of these scholarships will be awarded to boys who are not currently enrolled at the School. Each is tenable for as long as the student remains a significant contributor to Music at the School.
