Religious Education

Students of the Preparatory School follow a Christian Education curriculum developed by the Victorian Council for Christian Education in Schools  and taught by classroom teachers, while students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 follow a Religious Education curriculum embedded in the Christian faith and which meets the requirements of the English Religious Education curriculum for similarly aged students.  This ensures a comprehensive, rigorous and professionally developed curriculum, comparable in status, scope and sequence, as to any other subject taught in the School.

At the Preparatory School children in all years receive regular instruction in Christian Education. This involves a wide range of topics, including studies of the Bible, church and community, discipleship, relationships, personal development and current issues. Children are prepared for Baptism and Admittance to Holy Communion.  The virtues program also forms the basis of the Chapel Services.
