Campus Location

The Guildford Grammar School campus is magnificently sited on the banks of the Swan River, some 15 kilometres from the city of Perth. Set on almost 100 hectares of undulating land, our School has been able to preserve a delightful, rural atmosphere, whilst offering a comprehensive education for our students.

In addition to the standard curriculum, our location and available land allows for such activities as Polocrosse and Horse Riding, our Main Playing Fields and Rowing Shed are on site, whilst our Preparatory School children enjoy their learning experience on their own School Farm.

Transportation links are also on our doorstep. The East Guildford Train Station adjoins the Campus, providing a direct link to the city and western suburbs. The main highways to the State's north and east pass our boundary, while the Domestic and International Airports are only a short distance away.

Campus Environment

The Guildford Campus is acknowledged as one of the most picturesque in the country. At its entrance, and framed by magnificent 72 year old London Plane Trees, stands the very imposing Chapel of St Mary & St George. Consecrated in 1914, the Chapel is recognised as one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Australia and holds pride of place in the hearts and minds of all Guildfordians.

Among the many outstanding educational facilities that our students enjoy are the Wright-Bennett Family Technology Centre, the Oliverson Physical Education Centre, the David Lawe Davies Centre for the Arts, and the Old Guildfordian's Memorial Science Building. Features within our co-curricular programme include a 50m Olympic swimming pool in the Senior School, a 25m heated pool in the Preparatory School, and the outstanding HC Small Boatshed for rowing.

Set within spacious grounds, the School's towering Sugar Gums are symbolic of Guildford's commitment to the growth and freedom sought by young minds and bodies, qualities so often lacking in today's ever-shrinking society.

Guildford also jealously guards its social environment. Our School is non-selective in its enrolment policy and is proud of the eclectic mix of our students. We do not seek to promote ourselves as something we are not; rather we encourage hard work and collegiality in a supportive, yet demanding environment.
