About Us

Chapel St Mary and St George Guildford GrammarGuildford Grammar School is a thriving independent school of some 1100 students and has, over the past century, forged an enviable reputation.

The campus is magnificently sited on the banks of the Swan River, some 15 kilometres from the city of Perth. Set on almost 100 hectares of undulating land, our School has been able to preserve a delightful, rural atmosphere, whilst offering a comprehensive education for our students.

Transportation links are also on our doorstep. The East Guildford Train Station adjoins the Campus, providing a direct link to the city and western suburbs. The main highways to the State's north and east pass our boundary, while the Domestic and International Airports are only a short distance away.

Our co-educational Preparatory (Junior) School caters for over 400 Kindergarten to Year 6 students on an independent site within the Guildford campus. This level of independence has allowed our younger students to experience the excitement and pleasures of learning in their own purpose-built environment, with staff able to target the specific needs of younger boys and girls. A critical feature of the Preparatory School is its commitment to limiting class sizes to ensure personalised care and attention for every student.

The facilities within the Preparatory School are extensive and include the Kyle Visual Arts Centre and Hamersley Resource Centre, which houses much of the School's campus-wide computer network, a feature of the School's continued commitment to technology.

Similarly our boys-only Senior School of approximately 700 students (including 100 boarding students), constantly strives to maximise the potential of each and every student. To support our students and staff we are fully committed to the provision of outstanding educational facilities in a disciplined yet caring environment.

Indeed the Guildford of today is one of Australia's pre-eminent educational establishments. More than 80% of our boys leave School to attend universities in Australia, UK, USA, New Zealand and many countries throughout Asia.  Over 70% are admitted to their first choice university.
